Edens Zero manga enters final arc as 2023 begins :

Hiro Mashima’s Edens Zero manga has reached its final arc, it was revealed on Wednesday, December 28. The news was published in the fourth and fifth editions of Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2023.

Aside from Edens Zero, Mashima is best known as the creator and artist of Fairy Tail, one of the most well-known and famous anime and manga series. Fairy Tail was published from August 2006 until June 2017, with Mashima’s new series starting a year later, in June 2018.

Edens Zero is approaching its 222nd chapter and 25th compilation book after more than four years of publication. While the anime series will continue, with a second season planned to begin in April 2023, manga fans are devastated to find that the series is ending.

Shiki, a small kid who has spent his whole life in the Granbell Kingdom (an abandoned amusement park), is the protagonist of the novel. However, a girl called Rebecca and her cat friend Happy come one day at the park’s front gates, providing Granbell with its first human interaction in a hundred years.

Shiki’s previous mechanical pals seize the chance to organize a robotic uprising as he fumbles his way into friendship with Rebecca and Happy. Granbell becomes too hazardous for Shiki to remain in, forcing him to accompany Rebecca and Happy aboard their spacecraft and begin exploring the infinite cosmos, making as many friends as he can along the way.

The anime’s first season began in April 2021, lasting 25 episodes and being considered as the season’s feel-good, can’t-miss blockbuster success. The series premiered globally on Netflix in August 2021, extending the series’ viewership and boosting its popularity as a consequence.

Many manga fans believe Edens Zero to be one of the finest comics presently being published, citing its very unique tale and experience. With Fairy Tail being fairly contentious, fans of Mashima’s works in general will be pleased to see his current series being accepted and debated in a much more favourable light.
